PDL Group Commences Reconstruction of the Cayirliarx Canal in the Sheki District

In April 2025, PDL Group launched a new infrastructure project in the Sheki District aimed at improving the efficiency and reliability of water supply for agricultural lands.

The project includes the full reconstruction of the Cayirliarx irrigation canal. The existing earthen channel is being replaced with a modern reinforced concrete structure, which will significantly reduce water losses, increase flow capacity, and enhance delivery stability. At the same time, engineering structures along the canal route are being upgraded to strengthen the overall resilience of the irrigation system.

The realization of this project will improve water availability for farmlands, enhance the efficient use of water resources, and create favorable conditions for increased agricultural productivity. The initiative also contributes to the long-term development and sustainability of the agricultural sector in the Sheki District by ensuring a more reliable and environmentally responsible irrigation infrastructure.
